

Ronald Louis Rodriguez, Sr. died on May 13, 2015 with his children at his side, at the age of 81 after a brief battle with Colon Cancer. Devoted former husband to Elizabeth Rivere Rodriguez. Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and sportsman, who lived life to the fullest, he was known for his passion for hunting and fishing, and his joy for the sport was passed through multiple generations. His larger than life sense of humor enjoyed by family and friends. Father of Ronald L. Rodriguez, Jr (Becky), Gregory Rodriguez (Cindy), Barry Rodriguez (Deidre), Danielle R. Frank (Kerry) and Bret Rodriguez. Grandfather of Ronald L. Rodriguez, III (Kerri), Katie R. Hughes (Joe), Christine R. Bialas (Jon), Nicole Rodriguez, the late Stephen Rodriguez, Alexandra R. Mossing (Chris), Christian Rodriguez (Katie), Candace R. Frosch (Zachary), Grant Rodriguez, Colin Frank, Christopher Frank, Kelsey Frank and Angelina Rodriguez. Great Grandfather of Dominic Bialas, Nicholas Rodriguez, Agnes Mossing and Luke Rodriguez. Brother of Donald Rodriguez, Uncle to numerous nieces, nephews within extended family, and friends within the community. He was preceded in death by his former spouse Elizabeth Rodriguez, parents Charles and Alice Rodriguez, brothers - Charles, Emmanual, Edmond, Andrew, Merlin and sister Beverly R. Prudhomme. Special thanks to the staff of Waldon Health Care Center, providing compassionate health care for the past 17 years, and recent medical and hospice care through Dr. Ricardo Febry and Hospice Associates. A navy veteran of the Korean War, Ronald was self employed as a C.P.A. He married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth, and spent his active years sharing his passion for family, fishing and hunting with Elizabeth and the family. He enjoyed the good things in life - food, wine, Old Fashioned's, cooking and consuming game, watching sports events, relaxing and reading national geographic magazine - through which he was inspired to plan hunting and fishing expeditions throughout the US and Mexico. Ron was a former member of the Suburban Rod and Gun Club where he was known as Rodholder. Relatives and friends are invited to share in the celebration of life on May 25, 2015 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Mass at 12:00 p.m. Internment will follow mass at the Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
