Roy E. Alexander, Sr. passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015. He was 75 years old. Loving husband for 46 years to Mary Lou “Cookie” Prestia Alexander. Beloved father of Roy E. Alexander, Jr. (Meaghan) and Brian J. Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents, Flynt and Ruth Alexander.
Roy was born and raised in Picayune, Mississippi, and was a resident of New Orleans for the last 50 years. He was an avid sports fan, with a special love for Ole Miss.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will continue Monday morning at 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
