Roy E. Short

Roy Edward Short, age 91, passed away on December 10, 2024-- a native of New Orleans and a proud graduate of Holy Cross High School. He was born to the late Alice Horridge Short and William Short Farrell. He is survived by his sisters, Alice Short Boudreaux and Adelaide Short, and preceded in death by his six siblings, William Short, Miriam Short Horn, Irene Short, John Short, Arthur Short and Joseph Short. Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Behan Short; his daughters, Belinda Short Nagel, Melissa Short Rogers, Alicia Short Vail (Joseph), and Ongele Short Hebert; stepson, Walter E. Dennis Ill (Debbie); his seven grandchildren whom he was so proud of, Ryan Patrick Rogers (Grace), Cole Michael Rogers, Alison Elizabeth Price, Nathan Joseph Vail, Gabrielle Marie Vail, Benjamin Beck Hebert and Austin Joseph Hebert; and his precious great-grandson, Owen Roy Rogers. He is A parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Church. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Harmony Hospice for the care given to Roy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at St. Clement of Rome Church on Sunday January 12, 2025 at 4:00 pm.
