Avis de décès de Sammy Jean Koll
AUX SOINS DE

Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries

Sammy Jean Koll, 76, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully the morning of January 29, 2026.

Born in Pittsburg, Kansas, on September 25, 1949, to Mary Virginia Craig Koll and Duane Charles Koll, Sammy carried the warmth and resilience of her Midwestern roots throughout her life. In her late 20s, she made the bold move to New Orleans, drawn to the city's vibrant energy, rich history, and endless possibilities. There, she built a meaningful life for herself and her family, embracing the unique culture and community that would become her home for decades.

Sammy had a lifelong passion for real estate and architecture, which shone through in both her career and personal pursuits. She had a keen eye for properties, an appreciation for design and structure, and a genuine love for historic properties in New Orleans. Her work reflected her thoughtful, detail-oriented nature and her desire to leave things better than she found them.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Sammy's greatest joy came from her family. She was the steady, loving presence who poured her heart into those she held dearest, taking immense pride in her children's and grandchildren's lives and accomplishments. Her warm heart, quiet strength, and freely given care touched everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Virginia Craig Koll and Duane Charles Koll, and her brother, Perry Koll.

Sammy is survived by her loving family: her sister, Pam (Greg) Holman; her brother, Scot (Cindy) Koll; her son, Charles Clark; her daughter-in-law, Maria Bazan; and her cherished grandchildren, Antonio Clark and Cecilia Clark.

Funeral services, celebrated according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church, will be officiated by Monsignor Christopher Nalty.

Sammy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her—for the love she gave so generously, the steady comfort she provided, and the unbreakable bond she shared with her family.
