Scott Taylor Westmoreland

Scott Taylor Westmoreland, son of Dr Dennis and Barbara Westmoreland of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away in New Orleans. Louisiana on January 28, 2016. Scott was born in Bossier City, Louisiana on August 9, 1973. He graduated from Dobyns-Bennett high school in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1991. He graduated from The University of Tennessee with a BA degree in 1995. Scott resided in Nashville, Tennessee and Atlanta, Georgia before moving to New Orleans in October of 2006. He worked at Sammys Restaurant on Bourbon street for many years and also various other restaurants in the City. He loved New Orleans. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents H. A. and Ruth Westmoreland and maternal grandparents Lonnie and Faye Williams. He was also preceded in death by his cherished and beloved sister Karen Nicole Westmoreland Daugherty. He is survived by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He is also survived by Nephew Michael Daugherty of Maryville, Tennessee. A memorial service will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana, on Thursday February 1, 2016. Visitation will be from 10-11 am and a memorial service at 11am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of your choice.
