Shirley was born in New Orleans on September 14, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her parents William C. Ruth and Mary M. Griffin.
Shirley is survived by her children, Frederick H. Myers, Jr. Shelley Myers Remel, Mary Myers Corban and Gregory P. Myers; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several beloved cousins.
Shirley graduated in 1943 from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic High School in New Orleans, LA.
Shirley served as a volunteer for three years at the Jefferson Parish Council on Aging and remained active with the organization until just before her death.
Shirley served for many years as a Jefferson Parish Polling Commissioner in the district of her residence.
Private services were held at Hope Mausoleum on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 9 am.
