Signa "Sisi" Coiron Lamothe Daughter of the late Signa Charbonnet Coiron and George Alfred Coiron, Jr., Sisi died on February 18, 2016 from a broken heart after the sudden death of her son, Stephen Christopher Peller, just 4 days prior. She was 59 years old. Sisi is survived by her husband Frank E. Lamothe, III, her siblings George "Jack" Coiron (Mara) of New Orleans, Michele Coiron Swartz (Jesse) of Baltimore, John Coiron (Carol) of Winston-Salem and Pierre Coiron (Julie) of Atlanta. She is also survived by her step children Alexandra Lamothe Skaggs, Victorine Lamothe and Julien Lamothe. Born and raised in New Orleans, Sisi graduated from the Louise S. McGehee School. She attended Centenary College of Louisiana before receiving a BA degree from the University of New Orleans. Sisi brought so much joy, happiness and fun to her friends and family, and was sensitive and compassionate to all those around her. Sisi possessed just the right mix of creative talent and can-do attitude which led to many accomplishments. Like her mother, she spent many years selling real estate and had developed a real knack for renovating homes. She will also be remembered for her whimsical, locally-inspired artwork. She was an active board member of Save Our Cemeteries. She will be greatly missed by her family, Christopher's friends and her McGehee classmates. Funeral services for both Sisi and her son Chris will be on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., with visitation beginning at 10:30am and a Funeral Mass at 1:00pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Louise S. McGehee School Art Fund in memory of "Sisi" Coiron Lamothe, McGehee Class of '74.
