Stephen M. Nick

Stephen Marcelin Nick, aged 69, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on September 19, 1956, in New Orleans, Stephen was the son of Marcelin and Virginia Nick.

Stephen was cherished by friends and family for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others whenever needed. His warm spirit and helpful nature touched everyone who knew him.

After graduating from Rummel High School, Stephen worked for many years as an electrician. He was highly respected by his coworkers at Current Electric for his loyalty and skill. Outside of work, Stephen found great joy in working on old cars and fishing. These pastimes and the moments spent with his family and pets brought him happiness.

Stephen is survived by his brother, Kenneth S. Nick (Leslie), his sister, Marcia N. Blevens (Alex), and numerous nieces and nephews. His humor, infectious laugh, and unwavering generosity will be fondly remembered by all who loved him. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation to celebrate Stephen’s life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, Louisiana, followed by a Mass at 1:00 PM and immediate interment at Lake Lawn Park.
