

Sue Rose Wright Pellerin on October 23, 2015 at home, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was born on December 14, 1930 in Lake Worth, FL to Vera Speck Wright and James Luther Wright. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Norvin L. Pellerin. Survived by her brother James Luther Wright, Jr. of Tifton, GA, and her sister Vera Louise Wright Thibaut of Mandeville, LA. Also survived by her children, James Willis Pellerin (Stacy), Julie Pellerin Bukrey (Charles) of Grand Rapids MI, Curtis Allen Pellerin (Maria), and Renee Pellerin Gordon (Robert) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Also survived by grandchildren, Anne Bukrey Moyer (Mike), Suzanne Bukrey Kaminski, M.D. (Tom), Lauren Bukrey Laramie (Mike), Brock Elliot Pellerin (Lindsey), Casey Pellerin Westguard (Mark), Corrie Wright Pellerin, Katherin Pellerin Furtado (Stephen), Caroline Blair Pellerin, Jamie Favre Pellerin, Jean-Marc Pellerin (Melissa), Henri Albert Pellerin, Jason William Gordon, and Alexandra Rose Gordon. Also survived by 8 great-grand children, Anson, Merrily and Norvin Moyer, Harry and Oliver Westguard, Jack and Kate Kaminski, and Maya Laramie.
Sue was a graduate of McMain High School, attended Sophie Newcomb College, where she was voted Queen of the Freshman Beauties. She was the first Secretary and also a Treasurer of Pellerin Milnor Corporation founded by her husband and father-in-law.
Sue was devoted to her husband and children, and later her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana. Sue Rose was known for her wisdom and caring, which was an inspiration to all. Her sweet, ever present smile reflected her endearing sense of humor. She and her husband enjoyed entertaining. She was a gracious hostess. They also enjoyed traveling and visited interesting destinations on every continent. Their favorite, however, was their vacation home in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. She was a member of Saint Charles Presbyterian Church, and taught Sunday School before her marriage.
There will be a funeral service at St. Charles Presbyterian Church on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 2:00PM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 1:00PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, South Louisiana Chapter, 3445 N. Causeway Blvd., Ste. 902, Metairie, LA. 70002.
