Susan Jane Eversman Danielson

Susan Jane Eversman Danielson, died Mother's Day, May 11, 2014, at home in the loving arms of her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Daryl Arthur Danielson, senior. The daughter of George Henry Eversman and Katherine Theresa Hagerty and the eldest of five children, she was born on December 4, 1923 in Burlington, Iowa. She leaves behind two of her siblings John Eversman and Dick Eversman, sisters-in-law Karen Eversman and LaVonne Danielson, and brothers-in-law Dixie Howells and Wayne Danielson. Siblings George Eversman and Peggy Howells and great grandchild Joshua Danielson predeceased her. Her interest in the field of dietetics began at her alma mater, Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa. She is lovingly remembered for her dedication and devotion to a large and extended family and is survived by her six children and their husbands and wives (Deborah Danielson Ryan & Robert; Daryl Danielson, Jr. & Brenda; Barbara Danielson Fitzgerald & Michael; Dawn Danielson Hoppes & Mark; Gregory Danielson & Lisa; Stephen Danielson & Erin), 26 grandchildren and their spouses (Karyn & Sonny; Colleen & Matt; Katherine & Nicolas; Emily & Sam; Bridget & Jake; Sarah & Blake; Keith & KK; Eric & Cheryl; Kyle & Maggie; Kathleen; Jesse & Tracey; Janel & Snapper; Danica & Michael; Steffany; Daniel; Gregory II & Liesl; Timothy & Amanda; Patrick & Amber; Thomas; Meghan & Quinn; Jacob; Jeffrey; Jonathan & Silvia; Shannon, Matthew; Theodore), and 34 great grandchildren (Tyler, Ryan, Camryn, Emily, Anabel, Caroline, Julianna, Domenica, Stella, Robert, Olivia, Avery, Konnor, Kate, Hazel, Rhys, Finn, Linden, Amelia, Fletcher, Eliza, Gregory III, Rachel, Madeline, Benjamin, David, Aaron, Nathan, Luke, Joshua, Zach, Katelyn, Lavender, Colin, Eleanor). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (dignitymemorial.com). Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until noon followed by a funeral mass.
