I only just saw this. I had no idea and am so sad right now. Sue was my next door neighbor at FFM for more than fifteen years. She was one of the nicest people that I have ever known. We often shared a large pizza pie from Warehouse pizza. Sometimes late at night, we would walk to Cafe du Monde. She sent me a suitcase full of clothes after I evacuated the night before Katrina. I last saw her when I returned to New Orleans in 2014 or 2015. I introduced her to my new wife. The three of us walked to Cafe du Monde. I send my deepest condolences to her family. Sue was a treasure. Sue was always there for me. I am deeply saddened now to learn of her passing, but I am grateful and happy to have known her, and to have had her as a neighbor and friend. 

Part 2... (Sue would've totally laughed at my message being too lengthy and having to be split in two and said something along the lines of, "Hah, Haley, never!")

She was a constant source of love and comfort and kindness and optimistic realism. She always stood up for what is right, and she could always make me laugh. She was an incredibly good and loyal friend. She truly is a bright light that will continue to shine on in all the lives she touched. I wish I could've and would've seen her more before her passing, but I know she knows how much I love her and what a special bond we had. I'm sending all of her friends and family love and hugs. Sue was truly special. I'm so grateful for having her as my friend, and will always carry her light with me. I'm a better person for knowing her. 

Sue has been my neighbor and my friend for the last few years at FFM, and I am so deeply saddened by the loss of such a wonderful friend. I am sending so much love to all of her big, amazing family. 
We became close friends quickly and I always loved and looked forward to our courtyard talks. I loved listening to all the stories of her family and closest friends, both current and past. She loved all of you so very much. I feel like I know many of you even though I don't, and you all truly seem like absolutely wonderful folks. 

I loved listening to everything that made her laugh and smile so bright; her stories of being a young girl at Sacred Heart, beloved time spent in Atlantic Beach, working at The Warehouse, working at Continental, traveling, going to concerts, family get togethers and more. In the midst of her telling me a great story one morning about Bruce Springsteen from her Warehouse days, she showed me an awesome photo she had of them playing pool that night. I had her send it to me and just pretended that I wanted it, but had it blown up as a surprise for her later that year. This very moment I can still see her face lighting up and feel her hug when I gave it to her. Her friendship provided me with such love and joy, so I was thrilled to do something so simple that made her smile so big!

I loved her sharing with me the beautiful photos she always took of nature on her phone around the courtyard and neighborhood, those which only someone who truly knows to stop and smell the roses would notice. I'm an ER doctor and work too much for my own good, and when I was too exhausted to have a conversation and felt bad for not having the energy, she always completely understood and sympathized and comforted me in a loving and motherly way. She always looked out for me. Her way of looking at the world always reminded me to slow down and look around and take a deep breath.

I am so saddened to hear of Suzanne's struggle with Cancer and her passing.  I remember so many fun times with her when we were young and am overwhelmed by her many accomplishments and creative gifts.  My thoughts and sympathies go out to all of her very large family and friends. 

So sorry to hear of Suzanne's passing . I will always remember her beautiful smile and vibrant personality. May she rest in peace .

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. Sue was our neighbor at the Federal Fibre Mills. We always enjoyed visiting with her when we saw her around the property as she was always kind & loved to share her latest experience at a great local restaurant. She will be missed by us and many other neighbors at FFM.
