Terrence M. Fuchs ("Terry"), a father, grandfather, brother, and friend, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 1, 2022 after a brief illness.

Terry, who was born on November 7, 1947, was a lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish. He grew up in Old Jefferson and attended St. Agnes School for grammar school and attended high school at Archbishop Rummel as a member of the first graduating class in 1966. Growing up in Old Jefferson, Terry spent most of his free time playing sports with his brothers, especially baseball at Jefferson Playground where he excelled as a catcher.

After high school, Terry began a long career working for Bellsouth/ AT &T. He proudly served in the Air Force Reserves for six years.

Terry was an avid tennis player and you could find him on the courts almost daily at either City Park, Audubon or Atkinson Stern until his illness. He also enjoyed traveling and keeping up with current events and having coffee with his buddies. Terry also spent countless hours volunteering for the AT&T Telecom Pioneers.

Terry is predeceased by his parents, Louis E. Fuchs Sr. and Carmel Mercedes Mullen Fuchs Braud.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Fuchs Davis, her husband, Julian Shane Davis, and his two grandchildren, Julian Blake Davis and Emery Rose Davis.

Terry is also survived by his brothers Louis Fuchs (Pat), Mark Fuchs, and Garry Fuchs. He is survived by Janet Hyver Fuchs, his former wife, the mother of his daughter, friend, and selfless caretaker, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
