Thomas Salvadore Bondi, Jr.

Thomas Salvador Bondi, Jr., age 73, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Ochsner Medical Center (Kenner). He was a native of New Orleans, LA, and had been a long-time resident of Kenner. Thomas, affectionately known as "Uncle Junior," is survived by his loving great nieces, Cherie Brocato Dillenkoffer (Dennis) and Catherine Benetrix Miranda (Norman), as well as his beloved great-great nephews, Anthony Brocato and Dennis Dillenkoffer, Jr., and his dearly loved great-great niece, Angelina Sophia Miranda. He is also survived by his childhood friend and "neph," Royal Benetrix. Thomas leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his cherished soulmate, Brenda Gramaldi Bondi, and will now be reunited with his infant son, Jamie Bondi, and his parents, Thomas Salvador Bondi, Sr. and Mamie Bondi.

Thomas was born in New Orleans and developed a passion for amusement and gaming machines at a young age with Uncle Mitchell at MCM Amusement. This passion became his lifelong career as he worked for TAC Amusements and Rapid Fire before finding his work home at AMA/ Lucky Coin, where he eventually retired. Tommy could often be found enjoying his retirement playing pool with his comrades and nephews a few times a week. He also had the opportunity to travel to Italy to celebrate the wedding of his great nephew and witness the birth of his great-great niece. He will be deeply missed as he was considered the Italian Uncle and loyal friend by many.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the East Jefferson Oncology Department and the incredible staff at Ochsner Medical Hospital Kenner ICU for their exceptional care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:30AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
