Virginia Diecidue Charrier passed away to be reunited with her Lord and Savior “Jesus” on January 27, 2017. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resided at Poplar Springs Nursing Center in Meridian, MS. During her time in New Orleans, she was a member of Crescent City Baptist Church and Pontchartrain Homemakers Club of Metairie. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Floyd R. Charrier, Sr. She is survived by her son Floyd R. Charrier, Jr. (Trudy); grandchildren Mindy Powell (Thomas), Jeffrey Charrier (Yvette), John Charrier (Temi), and Aimee Charrier (Matt Sabo); and 6 great grandchildren Joshua, Katie, Bradley, Andrew, Kate, and Karly. The family wishes to thank the staff of Poplar Springs Nursing Center for their loving and compassionate care of their love one. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 11:00 a.m.
