Virginia Colombo Puglis

She was the beloved wife of the late Salvator Puglis; mother of Terry Puglis, Kim Puglis (Susan), and the late Salvator Puglis; beloved grandmother of Terry Puglis (Jennifer), Danny Puglis (Tiffany), Sabrina Crosse (Ryan), Sadie Melan (Christopher), and of eleven great-grandchildren; daughter of the late Vita Rose Bono Colombo and Vincent Colombo, Sr.; sister of Anthony Colombo and Conchetta Colombo Donnelly (Robert). Melissa Ensminger was more than a good neighbor, she was a daughter that Virginia never had. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors, and dear friends.

Virginia was a parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Metairie, Louisiana. Virginia found great happiness in cooking, gardening, traveling, caring for others, and enjoying gathering with her family. Her favorite past time was her love for beaches, especially Hawaii.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass in Metairie Cemetery.
