Wilhelmina Jones "Willa"

Wilhelmina “Willa” Jones received her wings and passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 4, 2022 at the age of 58. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Willa was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Monroe and Minnie Mae Bridges Jones; husband, Shawn Cave; son, Shawn Jones; two sisters, Rosemary Jones and Lisa Monroe; and two brothers, James Jones and Aaron Monroe.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, LaDareus (Idell) Jones and Keondra Jones; eight grandkids, Rashiya, Jordell, Jekile, Kionne, Karter, Kayvion, Journey, and Kyshauna; two fur babies, Star and Kolby; five sisters, Betty Jones, Nanita (Cutie) Jones, Delores Jones, Deborah Monroe, and Trina Monroe; five brothers, Cedric (Nancy) Jones, Calvin (Antoinette) Jones, Bryan Monroe, Sean Monroe, and Robert Miller; two devoted friends, Stephanie McGraw and Nate Singleton; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Willa will be missed so much and she will be remembered most for her infectious smile, warm embrace, and her dancing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Christ Temple of New Orleans, 1300 Alvar Street, New Orleans, 70117, on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 9:00AM, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00AM. Her final resting place will follow at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans.

A repass will take place at 1:00PM at The Luxury Hall., 5555 Bullard Ave., Suite 103 in New Orleans.
