

William T. Coogan Jr. " Billy" passed away peacefully in his home on December 5, 2017 at the age of 68 years old. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was a beloved son to the late William T. Coogan and Marilyn Schober Coogan. He is survived by his two daughters, Erin C. Coogan and Christen C. Coogan. Grandfather to Damon C. Edrington and Madison M.Coogan. Brother to Colleen M. Coogan, Cynthia C. Rodrigue (Edward), Richard M. Coogan. Uncle to Shannon F. Jones( Quinn), Kerith F. Amen (Robert), the late Edward A.(Drew) Rodrigue, III, Matthew W. Rodrigue (Mindy), Ross T. Rodrigue (Louise),Taylor C. Rodrigue, Dustin Coogan and Craigg Coogan. He ran the family business that was founded by his father, "Smith the Sign Man, Inc.” He was a talented painter and carried the family business on in his father's footsteps. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. He enjoyed Germany and its culture while serving his country. He attended Jesuit High School, Kennedy High and Loyola University New Orleans and was a member of PKT Fraternity. One of his greatest joys in his life was being a Flame Beaux Carrier in the Krewe of Tucks Parade. He was one of the original members in the Tucks Parade. His unique personality and mischievous nature brought much laughter to all. He will be missed by his family and friends. A special thanks from his family, to Aunt Helen and Rick Truxillo for their compassion and friendship. A private family memorial was held.
