William Mouton Reed

William Mouton Reed passed away on July 28, 2024 at the age of 71. Born in New Orleans at Touro Hospital on October 1, 1952. He is predeceased by his parents, William Kohlmann Reed, M.D. and Dorothy Gambel Reed, as well as beloved family friend Mae Alex Simon. He is survived by his sister, Christie Reed Perdigao (Gunther), niece Leslie Johnston Moore (Jonah) and nephew Robert Reed Johnston, as well as great nieces Elizabeth Adlynn Johnston and Isabelle Christian Moore and great nephews Benton Reed Moore and Kohlmann Ryan Moore. Bill was beloved by his large extended family, including many, many cousins, as well as devoted friends.

Bill lived in New Orleans and then for many years in Pass Christian, Mississippi. He enjoyed computers, music, woodworking, being a ham radio operator, investing and billiards.

A memorial mass will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124 on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
