

She was born in Boomer, West Virginia on July 25th 1935 to Maude Howard and Robert Lee Redman.
She was married to Warren Gwinn, who was an army veteran, together they raised seven children.
Barbara’s earliest ambition was her singing. She won first place in a talent search and won a trip to New York to appear on the Ted Mack Amateur program in 1956. She found humor in everything. Some of her proudest moments were owning her own business “Gwinn’s Originals” and raising her seven children. She loved sharing the love of god, sewing, dancing and singing. She loved all music especially songs by her son Darrell.
Barbara is survived by Children Darrell Gwinn, Toni Gwinn-Fisher and Daughter-in -law Kimberly Fisher, Aubrey Gwinn, Yvette Castillo and Son-in-law Richard Castillo, Arnold Gwinn and Nicole Gwinn. Her Grandchildren Felice Messam and Nephew-in-Law Vernon Messam, Toussaint Wade, Kevin Gwinn Jr, Bjorn Gwinn, Paula Meckling Dornheim, Jamaal Fisher, Brandon Fisher, Devinn Fisher, Alese Gwinn, Deanna Gwinn, Manny Castillo, Brent Gwinn, and Crystal Gwinn. And Great-Grandchildren Vernon Messam Jr. Lyndonnia Messam, Adina Gwinn, Jhaydon Levette, Anthony Gilbert and Averie Gilbert, and many loving cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents Maude Howard and Robert Lee Redman. Her loving husband Warren Emerson Gwinn, and their son Kevin R. Gwinn.
A memorial service for Barbara will be held Thursday, February 10th, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
