Charles (Chuck) lived in Pittsfield, MA most of his life. As a young man he was
an Eagle Scout, worked for May's Engineering then he was a dedicated employee
of the Bell Telephone Co.- now Verizon. He retired in 1990 with over 30 years of service.
He served 10 years in the United States National Guard.
Chuck was a skilled horseman, avid bowler, and dedicated bird watcher with
an extensive life list of species from across the United States. He loved to read and
was involved in his church.
Left to treasure memories of him are his sister Beverly Simon, a son Timothy
May (Shari), and a daughter Tammy May (Dolores). He also leaves
behind three grandchildren, Corey, Johnathan, and Jeremy May.
Charles was predeceased by his loving wife Lorraine Turner May, they had over
50 years together before her passing in 2017, by his son Thomas May and a
granddaughter Jewel May. Charles's parents and siblings: Franklin, William,
Richard, George, John, Barbara Milne, and Joan Derby.
Charles and Lorraine chose to be cremated. When Covid19 restrictions allow,
a graveside service and burial will take place in Pittsfield, MA.
