Deborah Ann Murray, 66, of Holiday, Florida passed February 8, 2025. Formerly of Orlando, Florida she was born in Bay City, Michigan. Deborah was predeceased by her parents, John D. Murray, Byron E. Veit and Ann E. Veit. Deborah retired from massage therapy after a fulfilling career in the International Sales Division of Harcourt, Brace Jovanovich book publisher as well as various office manager and banking roles.
She is survived by her brothers John (Johann) and Patrick Murray and Byron Veit II, sister-in-law Eileen Veit, nephews Jacob Veit and Wesley Murray and niece Katherine Freehling.
Whether she was singing as the lead in her John Glenn high school musical or performing on the pom pom squad she enjoyed making other people happy and was generous with her time and spirit. Clandestinely, arranging surprise holiday visits and birthday parties were her specialty and those memories will live on in family lore as well as her penchant for getting lost while traveling.
She loved boat rides in Michigan on the Saginaw Bay, Marco Island sunsets and family gatherings over the holidays. Helping care for her ill and elderly parents will surely earn her some wings in heaven.
Earl Conlin, Ron and Joan Milbourne and Rod and Eileen Diehl (uncles and aunts) will miss her uniquely pink outfits and delicious desserts.
Deborah’s family offers special thanks to Rose, Shari and Tina whose friendships she cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her name.
At the request of her family, cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be scheduled in her hometown at a later date.
