I have many memories of Delmar. One favorite is he would always pick out the best pineapple for me when he worked at Shecklers.
I remember taking him and Donna to their first Nascar race. They had a blast.
Of course the smile and the way his eyes would light up when we brought him candy.

I will always miss my brother, but I’ll be right behind him and we’ll be together again.
Here are some of the things that happened when we were growing up.
Delmar was very little when we came to the Bierlein’s, so I made up my mind to look after him. Nobody ever was going to get away with picking on him, they had me to deal with.
He would start arguments about the best tractors or the best cars but he could never defend himself because he was dealing with big farm boys, So here I go again trying to protect him!
I was a tomboy and they didn’t scare me specially when it came to my little brother.
My dad knew how tough I was so he knew that I would be looking after him.
I sure am going to miss him but like I said I’ll be right behind him.
Then we both will be happy. I hope he doesn’t cause trouble up there! Miss Him!!
Loving sister, Dea Ann

Memories of my dad.
You and mom adopted me and gave me a loving family and a great life. I learned to love animals and be a good person and to help others.
You could be bullhead and set in your ways. You were a picky eater, and didn't want to try anything "ethnic". One time I made fried rice and you loved it!
You hoarded cookies and candy.. When it came to food anything with sugar is what you loved. Sweets were always your comfort.
These are my fondest memories of you dad. I'll love you forever even though you're gone.

One time grandma was in the hospital....
We were taking turns checking on grandpa. At the time I was taking care of a litter of orphan puppies. I brought the puppies to grandpa’s house thinking he was for sure going to kill me. But to my surprise, I opened the box and watched grandpa‘s eyes light up! He sat there with me and helped me bottle feed and burp all the puppies. It’s definitely a memory that I will hold close forever.

I always enjoyed the time I had with my grandpa. We did not always get a lot of time since we lived so far away, but every moment was precious. The last time that he came to Michigan was in 2014 and Grandpa and Grandma stayed with us for the week. It was such a gift to have that time. I am really happy that he was able to meet all three of our kids the last time we visited. I know he enjoyed it and the kids will always have that memory. He is going to be very missed.
