Edith Mae Bricker

Edith Mae Bricker, 87, passed away April 13, 2011 at Orchard Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New Port Richey, Florida. Born February 4, 1924, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine Kenst, and the youngest of 11 children. She had been a Florida resident since 1971 and a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Pinellas Park. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John E. Bricker, Sr. of Holiday, Florida, daughters Maryann Christensen of Port Richey, FL, and Sandra Lynn Roycroft of State College, PA, and a son John E. Bricker, Jr. of Dunedin, Florida, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, David Kenst, Willie Kenst, Fred Kenst, John Kenst, Henry Kenst, and Daniel Kenst; three sisters, Catherine Haug, Marie Zook, and Ruthe Esther Kenst; and a stepbrother, Charles Kelber. Calling hours are 10:00 to 11:00am. at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home, 4244 Madison Street in New Port Richey. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 on Tuesday April 19 at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home. Dr. Guy Sanders III will officiate.A private burial will be at Garden Sanctuary in Seminole, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HPH Hospice.
