

Elsie Mae Green, 92, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Marliere Hospice House in New Port Richey, FL. Born on May 30, 1931, in Fredericktown, MO, Elsie spent most of her cherished life living in Metropolis and Danville, IL, before relocating to Florida in her later years to be close to her son, Kevin, his wife, Shelly and grandchildren, Sara and Logan Green.
Elsie was the beloved daughter of the late William and Oma Roberts. In May of 1947, she married the love of her life, William (Bill) Green and they were members of the Family of God Singers. Elsie worked as a Bindery at R&S Printing, retiring after many years.
Elsie was a Godly woman full of warmth and grace, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She was an active member at the First Assembly of God Church in Tarpon Springs, FL where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Her deepest joy came from being surrounded by her friends and family, especially moments spent with her grandchildren. You could always find her cheering along at her grandson’s baseball games.
Survived by her grandchildren, Sara and Logan Green, and great-grandson, Hunter Green. Elsie is also survived by her brother-in-law Melvin Green, his wife Marcia, and sister-in-law Joyce Goines. Her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched with her love and kindness.
Elsie was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Green, husband, William Green, and nephew William “Butch” Englehart.
A visitation for Elsie will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, and a graveside service at 3:00PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
