Gerald L Grant

Rev. Gerald L. Grant, Associate Pastor of Cornerstone Community Church of God of New Port Richey, FL went into eternal reward at 80 years of age on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was born on October 20, 1941 in Tullahoma, TN.

Gerald served the Lord in ministry for over 50 years including service in the states of IL, SC, WV, and FL. Words cannot express the fullness of the impact he has had on countless lives throughout the years. He never met a stranger and had a kind and loving heart. Gerald loved the Lord with all his heart and he also loved “his Mary!” Their story began on a church campground in a sandbox. It was love at first sight and just a few months later they were married on March 7, 1971. They enjoyed 49 years of devoted love to each other and their Lord.

Gerald was preceded in death by his precious wife, Mary A. (Mason) Grant on October 28, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Ruth (Anderson) Grant, his father, Clyde Grant; his brothers Homer Grant, Goebel Proctor, Haskell Grant, Arland Grant, Gayle Grant, Eldridge Grant and his sister, Anna (Proctor) Greenwood.

Left to cherish his memory is one sister-in-law, Emily M. Grant and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own children. Also, left to cherish his memory are his church family and many friends.

A visitation service will be held October 30, 2021 at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memory Gardens from 9:30-11:30 am. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 am with Pastor Artie Campbell, Rev. Ron Grant and Rev. Dave Hall, officiating. Services will also be available to view live on Facebook @ Cornerstone Community Church of God, NPR. Interment will follow in the memorial gardens. There will be a reception following the services at Cornerstone Community Church of God, 5708 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port Richey, FL.
