

Gladys Verity, 94 of Bayonet Point died on Monday, December 26th after a short illness. Gladys born in Brooklyn, NY was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Ullian. She is predeceased by her husband Ernest Verity; daughter Barbara Verity Harris; son Michael Verity and four siblings – Nettie Lory, Irving Ullian, Murray Ullian and Howard Ullian. She is survived by one brother, Bert Ullian (Joan) and many nephews and nieces. Of special mention is her nephew Jeremy Lory and his wife Nancy of Keene, New Hampshire for the support and care they have provided.
Gladys and Ernie previously lived in Freeport & Merrick, New York; Cambridge and Norwood, Mass. and Stewart, FL. Ernie and Gladys eloped to Elkton, MD in June 1941 they later had their marriage blessed by a Rabbi.
The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, December 29th at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, New Port Ritchey where she was laid to rest next to her husband of 54 years. Celebrating her life were Rabbi Paul Schreiber, Springhill FL and her nephew Reverend James Ullian, Virginia Beach, VA.
The family would like to thank the staff of Meadowlawn Funeral Home, Atria Windsor Woods, and Bayonet Point Hospital for the care they provided at the end of Gladys’ life.
