James L. Brewer

James Lee Brewer, 65, of New Port Richey, passed away August 18, 2023. He was born in Norco, Louisiana on October 23, 1957. James graduated from Leon Godchaux Jr High School, following graduation he enlisted into the United States Marine Corp.

James went on to marry Cherylynn Brewer on December 27, 2001.

James worked as a Warehouse Manager for Kaf-Tech in Largo Florida. He had several passions in his life such as football, basketball, fishing, and most importantly his family, and having fun.

James is survived by his wife Cherylynn, his daughters Cristal (Slim) Coleman, Kimberly Brewer, and Millie D Rockwell-Brewer. Surviving him also are his Grandchildren Stephen Coleman, Shawn Coleman, and Samara Coleman.

James is also survived by many Brothers and Sisters that he met throughout his life; Dennis Wheeler, Murphy Wheeler, Derron Smith, Otis Smith, Ezell Blues, Macarthur Webster, and Adrian Fernandez. And Sisters Legurtna Wheeler, Joyce Brewer, Diane Davis, and Jessie Jasmine. James is preceded in death by his parents James L Smith and Joe Willie Smith, as well as brothers Robert Wheeler, Nathaniel Wheeler, and sisters Yvonne Smith, and Couzell Mcol.

There will be a Memorial Service held on September 9, 2023 at 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Marine Corps League Florida (Detachment 567) 7241 Baillie Dr, New Port Richey, FL 34653.
