

John Emerson Bricker, Sr. of Holiday, Florida, went home to be with The Lord on January 21, 2015, at the age of 92. Born September 10, 1922, in Brier Hill, Pa, he was the son of the late William Bricker and Mary Dolton Bricker, and was one of 8 children. He was the loving husband of Edith Mae Bricker for 63 years. He retired from the U. S. Steel Corporation Clairton Works (Pipe Shop) in 1971, after 30 years of employment, and was a Navy World War II Veteran, serving from October, 1942 to February of 1946. John lived a life of devotion to God and family, and touched countless lives with his Christian walk, his generous spirit, uplifting personality, and genuine concern for others. He was a long-time member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. He was preceded in death by all of his siblings--Bill, Jr, Harry, Edgar, Dave, Helen, Ida, and Hazel, and also by his wife Edith Mae Kenst Bricker. He is survived by daughters Maryann Christensen (husband John A.) of Port Richey, Fl, Sandra Lynn Roycroff (husband Robert E.) of Edmond. Ok, and son John E Bricker, Jr. (fiancé Elizabeth Fallon ) of Seminole, Fl, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchldren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home in New Port Richey, Florida, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00, also at North Meadowlawn. Dr. Guy Sanders, lll will officiate. John will be laid to at Garden Sanctuary in Seminole, Florida.
The Family extends a special Thank You to the staff at Sunshine Christian Homes for their loving care of John for the past 5 years, and also to Gulfside Hospice who cared for him in his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gulfside Hospice and Pasco Palliative Care
