

Juan De Dios Martinez, 93 years old, of Holiday Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Juan was born on May 16, 1932, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Inocencio Martinez and Isabel Rios Martinez. Juan was a devoted husband of 60 years to Geraldina Martinez, a caring father of 11 children, Noelia (Richard) Mendez, Ana Marie Martinez, Juan (Monserrate) Martinez Jr., Cleofera Marie (Joseph) Pope, Isaac (Elba) Martinez, Sarahi (Larry) Johnson, Samuel (Kim) Martinez, Isabel (Alejandro) Narvaez, Isidro Martinez, Juan D Martinez, Judith (Joey) Whitehouse. Juan was a grandfather to 130+ grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren all whom he loved dearly.
Juan was a Mechanic, an Entrepreneur who started and owned several business ventures, a Reverend, a Pastor, a Chef, a Musician, Guitarist, passionate Singer, an Inventor, an Engineer and so on! There are so many ways to describe Juan. To his family, Juan was considered the original “MacGyver” because if there was a problem, he would systematically seek and find an existing solution or he would invent a solution that solved the problem!
Juan was a man of Faith who served the Lord with all his heart and used all his musical gifts that God bestowed upon him to worship the Lord!
Juan was a man of boundless energy and intelligence that touched many lives wherever he went. Juan’s wisdom and unwavering spirit of perseverance were always present. He possessed a brilliant mind, disarming wit, and an empathetic heart. He had a rare gift of building a community wherever he found himself. Juan kept his Faith and fought the good fight and crossed the finish line into the waiting arms of Jesus!
Juan was truly a special man who loved his family. His legacy of over 140 descendants will live on and carry his name for many generations to come!
Juan was predeceased by his parents, Inocencio and Isabel Rios Martinez, his sisters, Elba Maria Rosario and Carmin Ayala and his brother Isidro Martinez.
