It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Leslie Marshall, a beloved Army Veteran, spouse, and cherished member of the community. Leslie's remarkable life and everlasting impact will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Born on 12/4/1949 in Hudson, New York, Leslie served in the Army, demonstrating unwavering commitment and bravery. He honorably protected his country, leaving a legacy of dedication and sacrifice.
Leslie had a unique passion for fossils, often spending hours immersed in the study and collection of ancient artifacts. His fascination with these remnants of the past inspired wonder and curiosity in all who shared his enthusiasm.
One of Leslie's simple pleasures in life was indulging in a classic peanut butter sandwich, with JIF Peanut Butter being his favorite choice. He appreciated the comfort and familiarity of this delicious treat, always reaching for a jar when in need of a tasty snack. His fondness for peanut butter brought a smile to the face of everyone who witnessed this delightful quirk.
During Leslie's 54 years of marriage, he and his beloved spouse (Deborah Marshall) built a life of shared love, understanding, and unwavering support. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their commitment, weathering life's challenges with grace, humor, and immense love for one another.
Leslie possessed a keen intellect and a thirst for knowledge. He was known for his quick wit and for being the master of dad jokes, always ready to bring laughter to any gathering. His ability to infuse humor into everyday situations brought joy and levity to the lives of family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. A funeral service will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Monday July 24, 2023 at 11:30am.
Living in the vibrant state of Florida, Leslie found solace in the warm climate and picturesque landscapes. He took pleasure in the serenity of the beaches, the lush greenery, and the ever-present sunshine, cherishing the beauty that adorned his surroundings.
Leslie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. His legacy of love, intellect, humor, and passion will continue to inspire and bring comfort during this difficult time.
Leslie is survived by his dedicated spouse (Deborah Marshall), two beloved daughters (Traci Engle and Shianne Marshall), one grandchild (Alissa Arnt), three siblings (Darryl Marshall, Alycia Marshall-Steen, and Dana Marshall), and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever miss him.
