

Marie’s remarkable life was defined by her deep commitment to nurturing and guiding others. As a dedicated preschool director and teacher, she touched the lives of countless children and families with her unwavering kindness, thoughtfulness, and strength. Her love for education and her genuine care for each child she encountered were evident in everything she did.
Marie was the proud mother of seven children and the adoring grandmother of five. She is survived by her children Christine, Matthew, Michael, Michelle, Jennifer, Jeremiah and Danielle, her grandchildren Brendan, Zachary, Gryffin, Isabella and Anna and her loving sister Noreen. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, who was her partner for 28 years. Her parents, Carmine and Marianne Lofaso and her brother Sandy Lofaso.
Marie was fortunate enough to find love again with Bob, her partner of 8 years to enjoy life with. She leaves him behind, as well as, his two daughters Kaitlyn and Jill, and grandchildren Aubriella and Benaiah, who Marie loved like they were her own.
Marie’s legacy is one of love and resilience. Her ability to balance warmth with a firm resolve left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her unwavering dedication to her students, and her ability to bring light and joy into the lives of those around her.
Marie’s family and friends will deeply miss her presence but find comfort in the many lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
A viewing and memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at noon at Meadowlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Marie’s name to the American Cancer Society or HPH Hospice.
