Miriam was born on July 6, 1931 in Flushing, New York. She married and raised her family in Franklin Square, New York.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Murphy, her two children; Philip Murphy and Grace Murphy, sister Helen Frawley, and two grandchildren; Stephanie Muller and Evan Murphy.
Miriam had many talents and hobbies, which included ceramics, needle-work, crocheting, and cooking. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and a friend. She had a heart of gold and passion for helping others.
