

Richard Pierson was a truly special man, known for his enormous heart and unwavering love for his family. He was a gentle soul, yet strong and steadfast when needed. His deep devotion to his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was evident in everything he did. He would go to any length to support his family, always there when they needed him most.
In April 1958, he married his high school sweetheart, Ruth, beginning a beautiful journey that would last 67 wonderful years. Together, they built a loving home filled with joy, vacations, laughter, and cherished memories.
Richard had a strong work ethic and took great pride in maintaining his lawn. He loved working outdoors and found peace in the simple pleasures of nature. He was an avid reader and a passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Rays – he enjoyed watching games and attending them whenever he could.
He also had a great sense of humor. He formed many lasting friendships over the years and filled his life with memorable moments and connections.
Above all, Richard Pierson was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a remarkable role model. His legacy of love, strength, and humor will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison St, New Port Richey, FL 34653. A reception will occur Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
