

Thomas Aquinas Burke, Jr. who liked to go by “Tom” was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, godfather, brother, uncle, friend and mentor. Tom left this world too soon at the age of 76 on October 6th, 2023, at his home with family surrounding him.
Born to Thomas and Helen Burke on January 20th, 1947, in Queens, New York. Tom grew up in New York with one brother and four sisters. After graduation from Thomas Edison High School, Tom enlisted into the U.S Air Force in 1966. Tom was stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico. During his time in the service, Tom was a pressman and printed classified documents for the Air Force. Returning to New York after the service, Tom met the love of his life, Angela. They were married on August 31, 1974. They moved from New York to Florida in 1978 where they lived and raised their three children, Kimberly, Thomas, and Jennifer.
Tom was a pressman by trade; in 1988 he opened his own business, The Printing Place in New Port Richey Florida where his motto was “We print anything but money”. Tom and Angie worked together, with their family, providing service throughout the community. Over the years, Tom was heavily involved in a variety of community programs, business groups and organizations including the Kiwanis Club, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW to name a few.
Tom had a huge heart, great smile and a sense of humor. He always had a quick joke in his back pocket. Tom had a passion for fishing, boating, barbequing and reading. Above all, Tom enjoyed spending time with all his family, near and far.
Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years, Angela Burke, His three Children: Kimberly Burke, Thomas P. Burke, wife (Rebecca Burke), Jennifer Christiansen, husband (John Edvin Christiansen). Grandchildren: Jaiden, Edvin, Katerina, Owen, Brandon, and Great Grandchild, Oliver. Brother and Sisters: Joseph Burke, Barbara Foster, Patricia Diimmler, and Marie Gordon. Along with many nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Helen Burke, and his sister Lorraine.
A visitation for Thomas will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
A funeral service will occur Friday, October 13, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8320 Old County Rd 54, New Port Richey, FL 34653.
A graveside service will occur Friday, October 13, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
