Willy and I were freinds from childhood, and attended both Dille Grade School and Widen High School together.  We were in the graduating class of 1958.

Even as a young kid, Willy had a great sense of humor, a quick wit, and a winning smile.   He and I got in hot water more than a couple of times for our comical, but disruptive antics during grade school (Oh yes, maybe a little during high school, also).

Our paths never crossed again after high school, although I'd always hoped to see him again.   All these many years later, and I can still picture him in my mind, both as a young kid and as a young man.   He was a good boy, and I'm sure he was an equally good man.

God Bless your good soul, Willy.  We'll miss you.   And God Bless your family and loved ones.

We went to school together in Widen. We graduated together, we were friends and had lots of good times. I am sorry for the loss of a good friend/school mate.

RIP Uncle Will. You will be missed by everyone. Sent with much love your great neice Carmen.

 I want to thank all of the friends and family members who have put their thoughts, prayers and condolences on this Guest Book. It is a testament to the wonderful person my father was.  He loved his family and cherished his friends dearly.

My husband, Ronald and Willy went to School at Widen together for several years and graduated together in 1958. Willy was the Assistant Editor of our school newspaper "THE RED AND WHITE REVIEW". Ronald doesn't remember when the last time was that he saw Willy, but has thought about him alot. We wish to send our Sincere Sympathy to his Family. Most of us have heard that old saying "From Little Acorns Mighty Oaks Grow". But do you know what it could mean? Around Widen High School, people are taking pencils, paper, books and the like out of other peoples desks. How do we know that these petty thieves will not turn out to be Masters of the Skill? The student (the acorn) might keep taking small items that are not of much value. Before he knows it, this has become a habit. Taking small items no longer bothers his conscience and it gradually leads to larger things. Maybe after graduation it won't be like the Principal getting on you. There are laws to protect other peoples' propery. Stealing a car brings a Prison sentence. Then you will look back to those shcool days. Then you realize what the saying means. I will miss his calls every Sunday and his humor but most of all I will miss him.

I will miss Willy's phone calls every Sunday and his sense of humor that made me laugh and most of all I will miss  him.

I remember Willy from our high school days at Widen, WV.  He was a classmate of mine and his photo pictured here looks just like I remember him.  My condolences to the family.

Willy and I were neighbors between Widen and Dille. As kids, we spent many a moon playing cowboys and indians. He lived in the house that I was born in, for a number of years. He was liked by all who knew him.

I will always remember the summers Uncle Willy and Brandon would come in.. Uncle Willy was always there for his family in every way he could be.. Love you Uncle Willy you will be missed..

Will was a very special person in my life as he introduced me to my birth family.  My birth mother was his 1st cousin and he was very instrumental in helping me find my 5 siblings.  Thank you Will.  RIP....Love Sondra

I never met William, in fact I live, hundreds of miles away from him. But he reached out over the miles and gave me something that nearly no one else has been able to. He gave me a little bit of my father. He knew my father, and through William, I got to meet the man I never knew. He changed my life! I will never forget him, and even though I never knew William, I feel as though I lost a family member. I wish to give my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of this dear man, I wish I didn't live so far away, I would give them in person. May you find peace, and comfort during this difficult time. God Bless.
