Arthur Raymond Dyson

He graduated from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana, and went on to work at ALCOA, where he retired after 30 years of service. Arthur was a longtime member of Newburgh United Methodist Church and more recently a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany, Indiana. As a young man, he helped build his childhood home. He enjoyed model railroading and stamp collecting, and most of all, Arthur loved spending time with his family.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret (Goebel) Dyson; daughters, Mary Lou Christie (Kevin) of Carmi, IL, Linda Mayfield (Harry) of Memphis, IN and Pam Wilson (Greg) of Sellersburg, IN; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, William Dyson (Claudia); and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2026 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. Chris Neikirk, with private burial in St. Paul’s UCC Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
