Billy F. Nelson, I

Billy F. Nelson, 75, of Evansville, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was born July 27, 1948 in Muhlenberg County, KY to the late Elzie F. and Mary R. (Vincent) Nelson. He was a veteran of the US Army. Billy worked and retired from TJ Maxx production in Evansville. He loved collecting Coca Cola memorabilia and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, making him a “Texan at heart”. Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Owens) Nelson; brothers, Earl, Halbert, Harold, Rex and Mario, and sisters, Lucille Moorehead and Nancy Woodruff. He is survived by his children, Michelle Calloway (Dana) of Evansville and Billy F. Nelson II of Evansville, stepdaughters, Rhonda Cox of Henderson and Jennifer Weigant (Roy) of Evansville; stepson, Michael Osborne, Jr. (Amy) of Tell City; grandchildren; Shyra, Brendon (Maria), Anthony (Jordan), Destiny (Dee), Tyler, Brandon (Ashlee), Andie (Ethan), Katelyn (Justin), Micayla (Mitchell), Ty, Cody (Madison), Austin (Nicole), and several great grandchildren; sisters, Martha McCollum and Betty Woodruff, both of Evansville; brother, Larry Nelson of Evansville, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261.
