

Charles A. Mattingly, 82, of Chandler, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. He was born November 16, 1932, in Rising Sun, IN, to the late Charles and Eva Mattingly.
He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Boonville and American Legion Kapperman Post. Charles served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He worked at I.B.M. for 35 years and also owned and operated Paradise Enterprises for 10 years.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry; and sister, Mary Lou Aldridge.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Franzman) Mattingly of Chandler; sons, Jeff (Diane) and Dennis (Jill) of Boonville, Steve (Leslie) of Chandler; grandchildren, Erik Mattingly, Mindy Mattingly, Lindsay Rawski (Greg), Ashley Lytle (Tim), Shelby Schroeder (Calan), Amy Mattingly; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jackson, Katherine, Olivia and Charlotte.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Greg Pimlott. Friends may visit 5-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice or Main Street United Methodist Church.
