Charles E. Parker, 73, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Newburgh, IN and Providence, KY, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born February 27, 1941, in Webster County, KY, to Arvil and Lorene Parker.
He worked at International Steel until 1970 and later retired as a Supervisor at Alcoa Warrick Operations.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles R. “Chuck” Parker; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Parker of Indianapolis; son, Barry Lee Parker of Indianapolis; daughter, Carla Y. Parker of Evansville; daughter, Starla Parker of Indianapolis; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dan Kennedy with burial at Big Hill Cemetery in Providence, KY. Friends may visit Tuesday, 3-8 PM at the funeral home.
