Doris Hope Long

Doris Hope Long, 92, of Newburgh, IN passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019. She was born in Mt. Vernon, IN on January 26, 1927 to the late Jess and Amanda Saltzman. She was a homemaker and raised 3 children. Doris was a member of Living Word Christian Church, and a former member of the Newburgh Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, I Henry Long. Doris is survived by her daughters, Lana J. Long and Elizabeth Nishida (Greg) both of Carmel, IN; son, D. Eric Long (Mayra) of Newburgh, IN ; grandchildren, Lance and Ryan Wilkerson, Jennifer Feeney, Jared Nishida, Grace, Joshua, Faith, and Jonathan Henry Long; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon Kiltz of Carmel, IN Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Pastor Mike Claypool with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
