Nécrologie de Faith Raelynn Georges
On February 2, 2023, Faith Raelynn Georges received her wings and went to walk with the angels after 62 beautiful years on this side of heaven. She was born on December 9, 1960 in Portage, WI. Faith was a renaissance woman of sorts. She had many talents and could always be found working on any number of projects and goals. Faith was a savant when it came to decorating and gardening. She could DIY with the best of them and her loved ones would vouch that if it came from her kitchen it was guaranteed to be delightful. She had a lifelong dream of opening Buttercups Café where she would serve only the best coffee and where butter would have been measured with her heart. Her touch left things beautiful and bright, not only with her home, but also in each life she impacted. Faith was one of god’s helpers on earth. She would jump to assist anyone in need even if it meant that she would go without. The ultimate thrill in life was for her to put a smile on the face of her loved ones. Most importantly, as her name would entail, she had a strong faith in the Lord and knew she would one day find him in heaven. Her family finds much peace in that and know that she is now experiencing the ultimate joy that only our Lord can bring. While the family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Faith in a way that honors her spirit. Faith would have advised her loved ones to “suck it up buttercup” and bring a smile to celebrate her making her way to heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Renee Lasse and William Fandrich; her brother, Rodney Smith; and her sister, Nikki Smith; and her precious pup, Abbey. She is survived by her daughter, Erin Steele (Jason) of Evansville, IN; her son, Brandon Wathen of Murfreesboro, TN; her daughter in law, Tajee Wathen of Murfreesboro, TN; her grandchildren, Jasmine (Rylan), Hailey, Aden, James, Grant, Brady and Evan; her siblings, Pete Fandrich, Charles Smith, Jonette Ferguson, Lisa Stowers, Larry Fandrich, Bill Fandrich, and Melissa Henry. Faith was also loved dearly by Edward Georges and John Kippenbrock. Her children invite family and friends to join them in a Celebration of Life Ceremony. It will take place at Blue Grass Church Main Campus 14200 Petersburg Rd Evansville IN 47725 on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Fellowship will be open from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a service dedicated to Faith’s memory at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderNewburghChapel.com.
