Harold A. Kaufmann

Harold A. Kaufmann, 83, of Chandler, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. He was born July 1, 1929, in Evansville, to the late Andrew Henry and Mabel Ellen (Lynch) Kaufmann.

Harold was a veteran of the US Navy “Seabees.” He was a member of the Newburgh Masonic Lodge #174, Scottish Rite, Hadi Temple – Motor Corp. and American Legion Post #44. He was an avid Clabber player.

Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lenore Doreen (Ellison) Kaufmann of Chandler; sons, Chris (Gail) Kaufmann of Newburgh and Ted (Annette) Kaufmann of Boonville; daughter, Doreen Kaufmann of Newburgh; and grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Kenneth and Ann Marie Kaufmann.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 24, 2012, at Park Lawn Cemetery Georgian Chapel, 1526 South Green River Road, officiated by Rev. Chris Nunley, with burial to follow. American Legion Kapperman Post will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM.
