Thinking of you today on what would have been your 104th birthday. I will always love you and miss you and Mom. I am forever indebted to you for being the great father and provider for our family.

I love you and miss you. I think about you often. I have a lot of fond memories of the trips we took as a family. Our whole family owes you a big debt of gratitude for teaching us about the great outdoors and your love of nature. I love you Dad you are always in my heart.

I am missing you today!   I had taken some pictures of you and grandma the year before you went away. You had already gone. You smiled a few times and it made it seem like you were still there.  I have so many memories it's hard to choose just 1 or 2. I know much like all my other cousins you taught me how to ride my bike.  Getting to grow up and being close to my grandparents was an amazing blessing! I always knew that you loved me and always knew that you would. Children need to know the love that all their parents have for them!  I'm so glad to have known you and to have had you in my life.

I think of my father often and wish I could have been more like him.  You do not realize the true character of a parent until you are grown or become a parent yourself.  My father was a good, hard working, honest, reliable man.  He was a good teacher and I would not have many of the skills I have today were it not for my father and my mother.  I am so thankful that I had him for my father and guardian.  I will live the rest of my life with continual reminders of him and his loving ways.  I love and miss you so much Dad.

I miss you every day as does everyone else who loved you here on Earth, especially "mama".  I hear your voice and see your face often in my daily encounters.  I even find myself stating one of your one-liner catch phrases like "son of a buck!" and "gollllly!"  I don't have a card for you this year so I hope this will do...Happy Birthday, I Love You!

I woke this morning thinking of my father. Today would have been his 93rd birthday. He was a kind and loving man, and a wonderful father to all his children. I will love and miss him until the day that I die.

My Father In-law was a fine man, a man of integrity.  He was honest, kind and affectionate.  From the very beginning, when I had the honor of becoming a Wedding, he made me feel like part of his family.  He loved me like one of his own.  In return, I loved him right back.  I will miss his stories, I will miss his smiles, I will miss hearing his voice.  I will miss everything about him that made him dear to my heart… I'll love you always Dad.

Dad, miss you, I'm retiring soon I know you wish I had done this sooner due to my poor health but I had to origanize myself as I'll be hospitalized and be without an income for 6-8 weeks. I'm more like you concerning my family before my own health I love you Roger

Dad, just thinking of you this morning wishing tht I had more time to spend with you. But I know that you are in a better place.I will always love you.

It's been a week since Grandpa left us for a better place and while that doesn't heal the hurt, I know that this world was blessed to have him on it for 92 years.  He will always be in my heart...

I have fond recollections of Mr. Wedding growing up around St. Benedict.  My condolences to the family and my growing up buddies.

I remember some of the jokes Dad used to play on Grandpa. Grandpa just took it in stride. Love you all,

How can I express my love for my Dad in just a few short lines? I could go on and on.



My Father did whatever was necessary to maintain a job and take care of his family. As children, we never knew of the financial challenges and what it took to raise 8 children because he made sure that we always felt secure and loved. Dad may not have been highly educated but he possessed a wisdom greater than anything that could be learned from a book. He taught us right from wrong. He made sure that we had a Christian upbringing and that we learned about God. He lived a moral life, refraining from alcohol, tobacco and foul language. 





Dad loved camping and he made an excellent nature guide. He was never frightened by any kind of insect, no matter the size. We spent many enjoyable summers at Lincoln State Park. In fact, we practically lived there. He loved road trips and we took numerous family vacations from Florida to the Smokey Mountains, Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone Park. My Dad wasn't afraid to strike up a conversation with anyone. To Dad there was no
such thing as a stranger. He was always willing to help someone in need. 





Dad was the one who taught me how to tie my shoes, ride a bike and to drive and maintain a vehicle, but one of the most valuable lessons that he taught me was to treat others with respect. The greatest gift that a Father can give to his children is to love their mother. Dad knew this and set an
example every day of his life. He loved my Mother with all of his heart. 





I wouldn't be the man that I am today if it had not been for his guidance. I will always be proud and honored to call him my Dad. I will love and miss him forever. 


My father was a great man that I was very proud of.  He was honest, loyal, trustworthy, and gregarious.  He was totally involved with his family, church, and the VFW, serving in Europe with the Army in WWII.  
As a member of the Men's club of St. Benedicts Cathedral he helped with their bingos and operated the projector when they provided movies for the parish children on Sunday afternoon.
He was bingo chairman for VFW post 2953 and we four older sons were conscripted into service to help him on their Saturday night bingos.
He was involved with us while playing baseball in the St. Benedicts school league and was always with us in Boy Scouts especially at our outings.
He taught us all we needed to know about living an honest and caring life primarily by emulating his actions.
I will miss my father the rest of my life.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
