

Jack retired from Ayrshire Amax Mine as a mechanic. After retirement, he worked at T.S.C. in Boonville.
He was a 23 year Army Veteran, 1st Sergeant. Jack was a very patriotic person. He was a member of Yankeetown Methodist Church, Local 1907, Masonic Blue Lodge, Eugene Pate, American Legion and the Yankeetown Fire Department.
Jack enjoyed playing golf. He never met a stranger.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Marlyn; brothers, Bob and Fred; sisters, Mary, Lou and Ginny.
He is survived by his son, Tim (Darrissa) Lockyear of Richland, IN; daughter, Tami Sue Lockyear of Evansville; sons, Trent S. Lockyear of Evansville; Todd S. (Tamra) Lockyear of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, J. Tyler Lockyear, Trevor Kane, Trevor Steel, Turner and Taylor Lockyear and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with Kapperman Post 44 American Legion conducting military services in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Masonic Service at the funeral home.
