He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Ruppe; brothers, Albert, John and Helmuth Ruppe; sister, Magdalena Grill ; and brothers-in-law, Frank Grill and Henry Fischer.
Josef was the beloved husband of Helene (Wittmann) Ruppe; loving father of Suzanne Finn (Matthew); dear Opa of Sam, Rachel, Megan and Molly Finn, and Paul, Kate, Kevin and Sarah Ruppe; brother of Hilda Ruppe, George Ruppe (Anna), and Rita Fischer; brother-in-law to Cecelia Ruppe, Anna Ruppe, and Hilde Ruppe; dear uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; and friend to many.
He was a long time member of German Maennerchor.
A Celebration Mass of Joe’s life will take place at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to St. Vincent DePaul Society would be appreciated.
