Margaret Fiscus

She was a St. Mary’s School of Nursing Alumni and worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of nursing facilities including Welborn, Deaconess, and St. Mary’s. She attended Zion United Church of Christ in Newburgh, and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Margaret loved to knit, was an avid reader, and loved being with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by William R. Fiscus, Sr., her husband of 56 years; son, William R. Jr., on August 17, 2003; parents, Ollie and Leslie Westbrook; siblings, Edward Westbrook, Dorothy Clement, and Christine Westbrook.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Vivian Fiscus (Glenn Waring) of Upper Arlington, OH; sister, Elizabeth Westbrook, of Chandler, IN; daughter-in-law, Marsha Fiscus, of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Katherine Fiscus Waring (Tyson Shenefield) of Washington, DC, Naine Fiscus Sol (Ed) of Greenwood, IN, Elizabeth Fiscus Waring of New Orleans, LA, and Eddie Fiscus (Rebecca) of Indianapolis, IN.

Services will be 3 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mary Hurley, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday, 1:30 PM to service time at the funeral home.
