Marilyn Kay Durst

Marilyn Kay Durst, 68, of Newburgh, IN passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at Linda E. White Hospice House, Deaconess Midtown Campus, Evansville, IN. She was born in Evansville, IN on Nov 22, 1954, to Louie R. Hull and Helen M. (Edwards) Davis-Hull.

After graduation from Castle High School in 1973, she found employment at the Epi-Hab facility assembling products for the handicapped. Upon marrying a close coworker, John P. Durst, he entered the U.S. Army for a time and they moved to Junction City, KS. With his eventual discharge in hand, they moved to Branson, MO for many years till John’s passing in 2019. Marilyn eventually moved back home to Newburgh’s Heritage Woods Assisted Living Facility to be closer to family.

Marilyn easily made friends and enjoyed their company and all visitors, but especially enjoyed any TV show with Tom Selleck or most any crime drama. Her last two years brought many laughs of good memories shared between all.

Marilyn is survived by siblings, Louise Kellerman of Reeds Spring, MO, Darlene Reisner (Douglas) of Yakima, WA, and Michael Hull (Paula) of Newburgh, IN.

Marilyn was preceded in death by parents, Louie and Helen Hull; siblings, Silas Joe Hull, Jimmie Dale Hull, Roland Lee Davis, and Jerry Morris Davis.
