

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an operator engineer and retired in 1986 from Industrial Contractors and Local Union 181. Ralph was a lifetime member of Riverbend, Owls, American Legion Post 44, Eagles of Mt. Vernon, and served many years as an officer at Oak Hill Conservation Club. Living across from Newburgh Kiwanis Baseball, he helped maintain the fields and enjoyed watching the games.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty (Best) Duff; and two sons, Johnny and Jimmy.
He will be dearly missed by children, Susan Beasley (Sam) of Newburgh, IN, Ida Ranschart (Tim) of Palmyra, IN, Ralph Duff, Jr. (Jeanette) of Newburgh, IN, Sara Dunlap (Terry) of Rensselaer, IN, Lora Cline (Keith) of Evansville, IN; 20 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice with special thanks to Randy and Helen.
Services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, September 28, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Bishop David Forbes, with burial at Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown. Friends may visit Tuesday, 1-8 PM, and Wednesday, 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.
