

He was a graduate of South Decatur High School and University of Southern Indiana. Samuel was an IT Specialist at Boonville-Warrick County Library. After he became ill and could no longer work, he was able to fulfill his dream of becoming a stay at home dad to his children. He loved watching his children play Buddy Ball and horseback ride with Riding Hope. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Nashville Predators, and FC Arsenal soccer.
Samuel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Enoch and Lenora Kirtman and Linda Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Laura (Lamkin) Kirtman; children, Alexander and Emma Kirtman; parents, Charles and Diana Kirtman of Westport, IN; brothers, Nicholas Kirtman of Hanover, IN and Trevor Kirtman (Brittani) and their children, Jonah, Silas, Lucia, and Anders of Bloomington, IN; grandfather, Donald Taylor of Greensburg, IN; father and mother-in-law, Todd and Tracy Lamkin of Newburgh; brothers-in-law, Christopher and Michael Lamkin of Evansville, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Pastor Edith Bleecker. Family and friends may visit 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
