Sharon Pearl (Schriefer) Price, 88, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on March 17, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospice Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Born on February 11, 1933, Sharon was one of two children born in Lamar, Indiana to Delbert and Bethel (Ferguson) Schriefer. Sharon grew up on the farm she still owned in Spencer County, and graduated from Dale High School, in the Class of 1950. Sharon graduated from Lockyear Business College in Evansville while working at Halliburton Oil Company and The Baby Shop in downtown Evansville. She married Charles K. Price in 1955 and moved to Rockport to raise their family. They were members of Trinity United Methodist Church of Rockport, and later the Newburgh United Methodist Church. While raising their daughters, Sharon worked part-time for over 30 years as a Secretary at the Soil Conservation Office in Rockport. Sharon belonged to two Bridge clubs for over 40 years and a Duplicate Bridge club while in Rockport. She was also active with her family in their South Spencer school activities and sports. After retirement, she and Charlie moved to Newburgh to enjoy their daughters’ families. While there, she volunteered at her grandchildren's schools Newburgh Elementary, Hebron Elementary and Plaza Middle School. She belonged to the Evansville Duplicate Bridge Club and worked for her niece part- time at Just Rennie's Catering. With her competitive spirit, she never missed the opportunity to play cards, Dominoes, or faithfully watch a St. Louis Cardinal's game. Sharon is survived by her two daughters Debbie Moore (Gary) of Newburgh; Denise (Dennie) Thompson (Bruce) of Evansville. Four grandchildren: Courtney Woodcox (Kenneth) of Newburgh; Craig Thompson of Denver, CO; Hadley Veselak (Daniel) of Thousand Oaks, CA; and Eric Moore of Louisville, KY. Four great-grandchildren, Weston, Greyson and Ellason Woodcox and Nora Veselak. Sharon is also survived by all her loving nieces and nephews, whom she always enjoyed spending time with and going to their activities. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles, and her brother Jack Schriefer. Sister-in-laws Mary Anne Schriefer and Maxine Nichols. The family would like to thank Carol and Leona for all their love and help, her doctors and nurses at Gateway Hospital who cared for her so lovingly, and her good neighbors for all the kindness shown to her. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 20, 2021 with visitation from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and a celebration of Sharon’s life at 1:00 PM, at Alexander Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel. A private family burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Covid-19 and mask restrictions will apply. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Warrick Co. Humane Society (5722 S.
